- The provincial Craft Grand Lodge, or the recognized Prince Hall Grand Lodge for the jurisdiction.
- Jurisdictional variation
- Minimum age, residency, fees, proficiency requirements and the interval between degrees are set by each Grand Lodge and lodge.
